As technology continues to play a huge role in our society, from computers, to IOT, to government infrastructure, to algorithms used to assess scale of financial support and even some places potential incarceration time. The ever growing demand on developers to build functional, but also critically secure, solutions continues to increase. How then, have we become a world more of fail by design, than secure by design?

In this talk we will cover a developers role in security, the value of embedding security and privacy from the conception of the idea, in order to protect consumers. Additionally, we will talk through some real life examples of where things didn't go to plan.
