Talk - GraphQL is just HTTP

Let's face it, there are many advantages to using GraphQL compared to REST APIs. But if you strip it down to the network protocol, it's using HTTP just as REST. We developers need to write a lot of imperative code to retrieve data to display in our applications and handle state. With GraphQL you can, when using the correct libraries, decrease the amount of code needed around data fetching and state-management. Next to increased flexibility, better performance and most of all an improved developer experience. In this talk I’ll compare GraphQL clients to show GraphQL's magic and how (in the end) it's just HTTP.
